Originally known as Siemens Enterprise Communications, the company was rebranded to Unify in 2013 after becoming a joint venture between Siemens AG and The Gores Group. Unify established itself as a global provider of integrated communications software and services, focusing on solutions for voice, video, collaboration, and contact centers for businesses of all sizes. In 2016, Unify was acquired by the French IT services multinational Atos. Subsequently, in 2023, Mitel acquired Unify from Atos, integrating Unify's voice platforms, collaboration tools, and contact center products into its own portfolio to strengthen its position in the Unified Communications (UC) market. Today, the Unify brand and its product lines continue to be supported and developed under the Mitel umbrella.
