Founded in 2003, Patriot National, Inc. was a national provider of comprehensive, technology-enabled outsourcing solutions for the insurance industry, with a primary focus on workers' compensation. The company offered a suite of services including general agency, specialty underwriting, and policyholder services, as well as claims administration services to insurance carriers, local governments, and self-insured entities. After a period of rapid expansion, the company faced significant financial distress, leading to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in January 2018. Its assets and business units were subsequently sold off to various companies, including Ebix, Inc. and Guidewire Software.
