PAI Health

PAI, which stands for Personal Activity Intelligence, is a health tracking algorithm originally developed from one of the world's largest health studies at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The system analyzes heart rate data from physical activity to generate a simple score, with the goal of maintaining a score of 100 or more over a 7-day rolling period to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The company PAI Health was founded to commercialize this technology. In 2021, PAI Health was acquired by Huami Corp., a leading wearable technology company, which later rebranded to Zepp Health Corp. (NYSE: ZEPP). Today, PAI is a core feature integrated into Zepp Health's wearable devices, such as those from the Amazfit and Zepp brands.
