Maple Finance

Launched in 2021, Maple Finance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that functions as an on-chain institutional capital and credit market. Its mission is to bridge the gap between traditional finance and DeFi by providing the infrastructure for institutional borrowing and fixed-income lending using digital assets. The protocol allows institutional borrowers, such as crypto-native market makers and hedge funds, to secure undercollateralized loans. Capital is supplied by liquidity providers (lenders) who deposit funds into lending pools to earn a sustainable yield. These pools are managed by "Pool Delegates," who are responsible for underwriting and negotiating loan terms with borrowers. The protocol operates on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains.
