Development Bank of Nigeria

The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Plc is a wholesale development finance institution established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with global development partners, including the World Bank and the African Development Bank. Licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2017, DBN's primary mission is to address major financing challenges for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria. It achieves this by providing wholesale funding, credit guarantees, and technical assistance to Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs), such as commercial banks and microfinance banks, which then on-lend to the MSME sector.
