Bondsy

Bondsy was a technology startup based in Brooklyn, New York, that developed and operated a mobile application designed as a "social flea market." Launched in 2012, the platform's mission was to create a trusted community for commerce by connecting users with their existing social networks (friends and friends-of-friends). Unlike anonymous marketplaces like Craigslist, Bondsy focused on transactions between people with pre-existing social connections, aiming to foster more personal and reliable exchanges of goods. Despite gaining initial media attention and venture funding, the company ceased operations around 2015-2016.
