Viafintech

Founded initially as "Barzahlen" in 2011 and later rebranded to Viafintech, the company developed the largest bank-independent payment infrastructure in the DACH region and several other European countries. Its core service, "viacash" (now rebranded as "Paysafecash"), enables customers to pay for online purchases with cash at checkout points in physical retail stores, and also allows users of digital banks to make cash deposits and withdrawals at the same partner stores. In August 2021, Viafintech was acquired by the leading specialized payments platform Paysafe to strengthen its eCash and alternative payment offerings.
