Tootle

Founded in 2014 and launched in 2015, Tootle was a UK-based online marketplace designed to disrupt the used car selling process. Its mission was to provide a transparent and efficient way for private individuals to sell their cars directly to a nationwide network of hundreds of car dealers. Sellers would list their car on the platform, and dealers would bid on it, with Tootle facilitating the process to ensure the seller received the best possible offer. Despite raising several rounds of funding, the company faced financial difficulties and went into administration in late 2019 before its brand and assets were acquired by Cazoo in early 2020.
