Originally founded in 2013 as LendIt Conference by Peter Renton, Bo Brustkern, and Jason Jones, the company focused on the nascent online lending industry. It quickly grew into the world's largest event series for marketplace lending. As the industry evolved, the company rebranded to LendIt Fintech to encompass the broader financial technology landscape, including digital banking, blockchain, and financial health. In 2022, LendIt Fintech acquired and merged with Fintech Nexus, adopting the Fintech Nexus name to better reflect its mission of being the central hub for the entire fintech community through its global events, digital media content, and networking opportunities.
