Kit

Kit was a technology company that developed a proactive artificial intelligence tool to help small business owners with their marketing tasks. Operating primarily as a chatbot via SMS or Facebook Messenger, Kit could recommend marketing activities, create and run Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns, send personalized "thank you" emails, and generate business reports. The company was founded with the mission to simplify marketing for entrepreneurs. In 2016, Kit was acquired by the e-commerce platform Shopify to integrate its technology. However, Shopify officially discontinued the Kit app and service in August 2021, absorbing its functionalities into the core Shopify platform.
