iPSL (Intelligent Processing Solutions Limited)

Intelligent Processing Solutions Limited (iPSL) was originally established as a joint venture in 2001 by Unisys, Barclays, Lloyds TSB, and HSBC. The company grew to become the market leader in processing domestic cheques in the United Kingdom, handling the clearing, reconciliation, and settlement for the majority of UK banks and building societies. iPSL played a pivotal role in the UK's transition to a cheque image-based clearing system (Image Clearing System - ICS) in 2018. In 2021, the company was fully acquired by Sopra Steria and integrated into its Financial Services division to enhance its business process outsourcing (BPO) and payment services capabilities.
