Fiinu

Fiinu is a financial technology company focused on its Plugin Overdraft® platform, which is designed to provide consumers with access to an overdraft facility without requiring them to switch their primary current account. The company's subsidiary, Fiinu Bank Limited, obtained a restricted UK banking licence from the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in 2022. However, after failing to raise the necessary capital to meet regulatory requirements, the company announced in October 2023 that Fiinu Bank would surrender its banking licence and be wound down. The parent company, Fiinu PLC, continues to operate and is pivoting its strategy to a B2B model to license its proprietary technology to other financial institutions.
