Central JD Fintech Holding was a joint venture established in 2017 between Central Group, Thailand's leading retail conglomerate, and two affiliates of Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com: JD.com and JD Technology. The company aimed to create a leading fintech platform in Thailand, leveraging Central Group's vast retail ecosystem and JD's technological expertise. Its flagship product, the 'Dolfin' e-wallet, launched in 2019, offered services including electronic payments, digital lending, and insurance. Despite its ambitions, the company announced the cessation of all its services, including the Dolfin Wallet, which was officially terminated on June 15, 2023, following a strategic decision by its major shareholders.
