Diamond Bank

Founded in 1990, Diamond Bank Plc was a prominent universal bank in Nigeria, offering a wide array of financial services to corporate, retail, and public sector customers. It was particularly known for its strong focus on retail banking and its early adoption of technology and digital banking solutions within the Nigerian market. In December 2018, Access Bank Plc announced its acquisition of Diamond Bank, and the merger was officially completed on April 1, 2019. The merger created one of Africa's largest retail banks by customer base, with all of Diamond Bank's assets, liabilities, and operations being fully integrated into the Access Bank brand.
