Established in 2004, the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) is the sole independent financial regulatory body for the special economic zone, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The DFSA's mandate is to provide a world-class regulatory environment and uphold international best practices. It is responsible for the authorisation, supervision, and enforcement of regulations for firms and individuals engaged in a wide range of financial activities, including banking, insurance, wealth management, and capital markets, ensuring the integrity and stability of the financial industry within the DIFC.
