Founded in 1999 as a project under the T. Muniswamappa Trust and later known as Grameen Koota, CreditAccess Grameen Limited has grown to become a leading Non-Banking Financial Company-Micro Finance Institution (NBFC-MFI) in India. The company's mission is to provide timely and affordable credit and other financial services to underserved populations, primarily focusing on empowering women through financial inclusion. Operating on the principles of the Grameen Bank model, it offers micro-loans for income generation, as well as other products like retail finance and insurance, helping to promote entrepreneurship and improve the livelihoods of its customers in rural and semi-urban areas.
