Compound

Compound is a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain. Developed by Compound Labs, Inc., which was founded by Robert Leshner and Geoffrey Hayes, the protocol enables users to earn interest on their digital assets by supplying them to a liquidity pool, or to borrow assets by providing collateral. Interest rates are determined algorithmically based on the supply and demand for each asset. The mission of Compound is to create a more open and efficient financial system by replacing traditional financial intermediaries with autonomous, transparent smart contracts.
