Canadian Physicians' Pension Plan

The Canadian Physicians' Pension Plan is the first national, multi-employer pension plan designed specifically for incorporated physicians in Canada. Established as a not-for-profit entity, it was created through a partnership between the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), Scotiabank, and MD Financial Management. The plan's mission is to provide physicians with a predictable, lifelong retirement income through a defined benefit pension model, helping to alleviate the financial uncertainty physicians may face in retirement planning.
