Brolly

Founded in 2016 by Phoebe Hugh and Mykhailo Loginov, Brolly was an insurtech startup that aimed to simplify the insurance market for consumers. Its mobile application offered an "insurance locker" where users could store and manage all their policies in one place. Using artificial intelligence, the platform analyzed a user's existing coverage to identify gaps or areas where they were over-insured, and then recommended better and more cost-effective policies. After raising venture capital and gaining traction in the UK market, Brolly was acquired by Direct Line Group in July 2020. Following the acquisition, the consumer-facing Brolly app was shut down as the team and technology were integrated into Direct Line's operations to enhance their digital services.
