Bank of Ghana

Established on March 4, 1957, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) is the central bank of Ghana, operating as the primary regulator of the country's banking and financial institutions. Its core mandate is to formulate and implement monetary policy to achieve price stability, promote a sound financial system, and support sustainable economic growth. The BoG is also responsible for issuing and managing the national currency (the Ghanaian Cedi), managing the country's foreign exchange reserves, and serving as the banker and financial advisor to the government.
