I would strongly advise against using Zappyrent for accommodation, especially if you are a student or a working professional. My experience with them has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. Initially, the apartment I rented was falsely advertised, with essential living conditions—such as overcrowding leading to frequent power outages—making the property unlivable. Despite notifying Zappyrent immediately about these issues and vacating the apartment within two days, I faced an incredibly slow response. It took two months of constant follow-ups before they even started the check-out process. What’s more troubling is that Zappyrent clearly has no interest in addressing serious issues once they’ve closed the contract. They simply ignored my concerns, never investigating the unlivable conditions, and proceeded to withhold a significant portion of my security deposit without offering a valid explanation. Their communication was poor, and when I asked for clarification, they provided a vague response with no transparency. This company clearly prioritizes closing contracts and taking deposits over actually ensuring tenants have a safe and livable space. If you bring up legitimate issues, they won’t take them seriously and will find ways to penalize you. To anyone considering Zappyrent, especially students who rely on trust and transparency, I would recommend looking elsewhere. They have shown no care for customer satisfaction or basic professionalism.
