Portis

Founded in 2018 by Tom Teman and Itay Radotzki, Portis was a technology company focused on making blockchain technology and Web3 accessible to a broader audience. Its core product was a non-custodial wallet SDK that could be integrated into dApps, removing the need for users to install browser extensions or manage complex seed phrases. The mission was to provide a familiar Web 2.0-like user experience for interacting with the decentralized web. In 2020, Portis was acquired by the crypto platform ShapeShift to integrate its easy-to-use wallet technology. Subsequently, ShapeShift sunsetted the Portis wallet service in mid-2022 as part of its strategic shift.
