Highlands Union Bank

Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Abingdon, Virginia, Highlands Union Bank (HUB) was a community-focused financial institution. It operated as the banking subsidiary of Highlands Bankshares, Inc., offering a full range of banking services to individuals and businesses, including checking and savings accounts, commercial, real estate, and consumer loans, as well as wealth management services. In April 2020, it was announced that Highlands Union Bank would merge with First Community Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Community Bankshares, Inc. The merger was completed later that year, and all Highlands Union Bank branches were rebranded as First Community Bank.
