Founded in 1994, Fortigent, LLC was a technology and research firm that provided an integrated platform for financial advisors, private banks, and family offices serving high-net-worth (HNW) individuals. The company's core offerings included manager due diligence, investment research, customized performance reporting, and proposal generation tools, aiming to provide independent advisors with institutional-quality resources. Fortigent was acquired by SEI in 2012. In 2015, LPL Financial acquired Fortigent from SEI and subsequently integrated its research, technology, and staff into LPL's own platform, leading to the discontinuation of the Fortigent brand.
