Foreign Bankers' Association (FBA)

Originally founded in 1947 as the Foreign Bankers' Association (FBA), the organization rebranded in 2017 to The Foreign Banks and Securities Houses Association (FBSA) to better reflect its diverse membership. The association's primary mission is to represent the collective interests of its member institutions, which include foreign banks, securities houses, and investment firms operating in the UK. The FBSA facilitates dialogue and liaises with UK government departments, financial regulators (such as the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority), and other key industry bodies to promote a favourable and competitive operating environment for international financial institutions in London and the wider UK.
