Fondo di previdenza Mario Negri

Founded in 1957 through an agreement between Confcommercio and Manageritalia, Fondo Mario Negri is one of Italy's oldest and most established collectively bargained pension funds ("fondo pensione negoziale"). Its mission is to provide supplementary pension benefits to its members, who are exclusively managers in the commerce, transport, and shipping sectors. The fund operates on a defined contribution, capitalization-based system, meaning it collects contributions from members and their employers, invests the capital in financial markets through mandated asset managers, and pays out the accumulated capital and returns as a pension upon retirement.
