Originally founded in 1983 as Financial Network Investment Corporation, the company established itself as one of the nation's largest independent broker-dealers, supporting financial advisors with brokerage, investment advisory, and insurance services. The firm's mission has been to provide the resources and support that allow independent financial professionals to offer personalized guidance to their clients. After being acquired by ING Group and later by Lightyear Capital, the firm became a foundational part of Cetera Financial Group. In 2013, it was officially rebranded to Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, and it continues to operate under this name as a key broker-dealer within the Cetera network.
