It attracted investors by promising exceptionally high, guaranteed returns through investments in its own proprietary cryptocurrency token, FNL. The company gained a high profile through a major sponsorship deal with the Williams Martini Racing Formula 1 team in 2018. However, it was never authorized or regulated by any major financial authority, leading to a cascade of public warnings from regulators worldwide who flagged it for characteristics of a Ponzi or pyramid scheme. The company and its website abruptly ceased operations in early 2019.
