Far Point Acquisition Corporation was a blank check company, also known as a SPAC, incorporated in Delaware and sponsored by an affiliate of Third Point LLC and led by former NYSE President Thomas W. Farley. The company was formed to effect a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization, or similar business combination with one or more businesses, with a focus on the financial technology (fintech) sector. After raising over $630 million in its June 2018 IPO, the company successfully completed its business combination with Global Blue, a leader in tax-free shopping and payment solutions, in August 2020. The combined entity now operates as Global Blue Group Holding AG.
