Deutsche Bundesbank

The Deutsche Bundesbank is an integral part of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) and has been Germany's central bank since its establishment in 1957. Its primary mission is to ensure price stability, which it works towards together with the other euro area central banks within the framework of the Eurosystem's single monetary policy. The Bundesbank's core business areas also include contributing to the stability of the financial system, banking supervision, managing Germany's foreign reserves, ensuring the smooth functioning of payment systems, and supplying the economy with cash.
