Founded in 2011 by Dr. Tim Sievers, Deposit Solutions GmbH developed a pioneering Open Banking platform for savings deposits. The platform's core mission is to create a more efficient and open European deposit market, allowing banks to source retail deposits from other countries without needing their own local infrastructure. For savers and partner institutions (like other banks and fintechs), it provides access to a wide array of savings products from a single account. In 2021, Deposit Solutions merged with its competitor Raisin to form Raisin DS GmbH, creating a pan-European B2B and B2C marketplace for savings and investments.
