Daweda Exchange

Founded in 2016, Daweda Exchange Ltd operated an innovative online trading platform that functioned as a marketplace rather than a traditional brokerage. It allowed traders to place orders that were matched against opposing orders from other traders on the platform, with the company charging a fixed commission on trades. This model eliminated the inherent conflict of interest found in typical B-book broker models. The company was regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) but ceased its retail-facing operations and surrendered its license in May 2018, citing a shift in business strategy.
