Criptoeasy presented itself as a fintech aimed at simplifying access to the cryptocurrency market for individuals and businesses in Brazil. The company offered services that included automated cryptocurrency investments, digital asset management, and custody. However, in mid-2022, the company suspended customer withdrawals and became the target of a major investigation by Brazil's Federal Police ("Operation Colossus") and the country's securities regulator (CVM) on suspicion of operating a financial pyramid scheme and other financial crimes. Its assets were frozen, and its primary operations have ceased.
