Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Troy, Michigan, Crestmark Bank established itself as a national provider of working capital solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses. Its services focus on helping companies secure funding by leveraging their assets, offering products like asset-based loans, accounts receivable financing (factoring), and equipment financing. In August 2018, Crestmark was acquired by Meta Financial Group, Inc. (the holding company for MetaBank). In 2022, MetaBank rebranded to Pathward, N.A., and Crestmark now operates as its prominent commercial finance division, continuing its mission to provide flexible and innovative financing solutions to businesses across the United States.
