Creditoo

Creditoo is a Brazilian financial technology company founded in 2016 that specializes in providing private payroll-deducted loans (crédito consignado privado). The company partners with private businesses to offer their employees access to credit with lower interest rates, with loan repayments being deducted directly from their salaries. This model reduces default risk, allowing for more favorable loan conditions. In 2019, Creditoo was acquired by Itaú Unibanco, one of Brazil's largest banks, and now operates as part of the Itaú group, leveraging the bank's structure while maintaining its agile fintech approach to consumer lending.
