Credito Real USA Finance, LLC was the U.S. subsidiary of Crédito Real, S.A.B. de C.V., a prominent non-bank lender based in Mexico. The US-based entity focused on providing consumer credit solutions, including personal loans and financing for used vehicle purchases, specifically catering to the needs of the Hispanic market. However, in mid-2022, the parent company, Crédito Real, initiated a liquidation process in Mexico and subsequently filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. This collapse, stemming from financial distress and default, led to the winding down and cessation of all operations for its subsidiaries, including Credito Real USA Finance.
