Credit Information Network Co., Ltd. (CIN) was established in 2007 by three major Japanese credit bureaus (CIC, JICC, and JBA) to create a unified network for sharing critical credit data. Operating under Japan's Money Lending Business Act, CIN's primary mission is to prevent over-indebtedness among consumers by providing member financial institutions with comprehensive information on total loan balances. This enables lenders to make more responsible credit decisions and promotes the soundness of the consumer credit market in Japan.
