Founded in 1889 (as Banco Italiano, which became Banco de Crédito del Perú or BCP), Credicorp Ltd. was incorporated in Bermuda in 1995 to act as the holding company for a group of leading financial service providers in Latin America. Its mission is to improve lives by accelerating positive changes for its clients. The company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: BAP) and operates through four main business lines: universal banking (through BCP), microfinance (through Mibanco), insurance and pensions (through Pacífico Seguros and Prima AFP), and investment banking and wealth management (through Credicorp Capital).
