Founded in 1997 by Meralco, the Philippines' largest electric power distribution company, CIS Bayad Center, Inc. (now branded as Bayad) pioneered outsourced payment collection services in the country. Initially established to provide a convenient way for Meralco customers to pay their electricity bills, it has since grown into the largest and most trusted multi-channel payment platform in the Philippines. The company's mission is to make payments more accessible and convenient for all Filipinos. It has evolved from a traditional over-the-counter service to a comprehensive "phygital" platform, combining a vast network of physical Bayad Centers and partner establishments with digital channels like the Bayad App and Bayad Online.
