Founded in 2017, Circit is a financial technology company that has developed a platform to automate and secure the audit confirmation process. Its mission is to eliminate fraud by making audit evidence verifiable and tamper-proof. The platform connects audit firms directly with a global network of banks, solicitors, and other evidence sources, streamlining the collection of evidence like bank confirmations and legal letters. Circit is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as an Account Information Service Provider (AISP) under the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2).
