Originally established in New Zealand in 1918 as the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia, the company became Cigna New Zealand in 1990. For over a century, it has been a key player in the country's insurance market, offering a range of products including life insurance, income protection, trauma insurance, and health insurance. In July 2022, Cigna’s life, accident and supplemental benefits businesses in New Zealand were acquired by Chubb, a global leader in insurance. Following the acquisition, the company was rebranded to Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand Limited, continuing its mission to provide financial security and peace of mind to New Zealanders.
