Founded in 1987, Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. was a wealth management and private banking company that offered a comprehensive range of financial services. Its mission was to provide a "Private Bank" experience through a combination of tailored financial advice and a full suite of banking and investment solutions. The company focused on serving affluent clients in key metropolitan areas across the United States. In 2021, Boston Private was acquired by SVB Financial Group and merged with SVB's existing private banking and wealth management division to form SVB Private, effectively ending the Boston Private brand.
