Barclays Bank Egypt operated as a well-established financial institution in Egypt, offering a full range of retail, corporate, and investment banking services to its customers. With a history in the country spanning many years, it was a part of the global Barclays PLC group. In 2017, Barclays PLC completed the sale of its Egyptian operations to Morocco's Attijariwafa Bank. Following the acquisition, Barclays Bank Egypt was fully integrated and rebranded as Attijariwafa bank Egypt, which continues to provide banking services to individuals and businesses across the nation.
