Banque de France

Founded in 1800, Banque de France is an independent institution integrated into the Eurosystem. Its three core missions are monetary strategy, financial stability, and the provision of services to the French economy. As a member of the European System of Central Banks, it contributes to the implementation of the Eurozone's single monetary policy, manages a portion of the European Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves, ensures the smooth operation of payment systems, and supervises the banking and insurance sectors through its supervisory arm, the ACPR.
