AAX Digital

Founded in 2018, Atom Asset Exchange (AAX) was a digital asset exchange that aimed to serve a global audience, from retail to institutional investors. The platform promoted itself as the world's first crypto exchange to be powered by LSEG Technology's Millennium Exchange matching engine, the same technology used by major stock exchanges like the London Stock Exchange. AAX offered a wide suite of services including spot and futures trading, crypto savings products, and over-the-counter (OTC) trading. However, following the collapse of FTX in November 2022, AAX abruptly halted all withdrawals, citing system maintenance and capital pressures, before completely shutting down in December 2022.
