Originating from the highly successful Sweatcoin web2 application (launched in 2016), Sweat Economics represents the project's evolution into web3. Its mission is to incentivize a healthier planet by rewarding physical movement. The Sweat Foundation launched the SWEAT token in September 2022 on the NEAR and Ethereum blockchains, allowing millions of users to mint cryptocurrency simply by walking. The ecosystem includes the Sweat Wallet app for managing, staking, and interacting with SWEAT tokens, aiming to build an open economy of movement where physical activity has tangible economic value.
