Founded in 1954 as the 3M Employees Credit Union, Novation Credit Union was a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution. Its mission was to provide its members, primarily employees and families of 3M and other partner companies, with a full range of financial services, including savings, checking, loans, and mortgages, focusing on better rates and lower fees than traditional banks. In 2021, Novation Credit Union completed a merger with Baxter Credit Union (BCU) to provide members with enhanced services, more locations, and improved digital banking capabilities. All operations now continue under the BCU name and brand.
